Discovering New Courses To Play Using Google StreetView

(1 days ago) Twice in my years of going online and searching for new courses to play, I have stumbled across courses via viewing a community’s park using Google StreetView. One can virtually stand on the street in many of the towns in the United States of America, and see what a driver that Google equipped with some panoramic photography equipment saw as

On The Road Again: Course Collecting In Mt. Pleasant, Iowa

(7 days ago) The Woodland Trail was not an enjoyable experience. Walking trails for fairways, lots of bugs and itch weeds, and holes that hadn’t been maintained for a while. But a course is a course! So I was at least happy to add that to my Courses Played collection. Sign near the Hole 1 tee at Riverview DGC in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.

All Of The Interesting Places Where Disc Golf Works: Tonn

(Just Now) The six courses I played today in California were located on a desert landscape behind a community center, on a beautifully groomed golf course (that also hosted a foot golf course), on a relatively flat, grassy public park, at an elementary school, at a hotel and at a second public park whose terrain was filled with significant elevation changes.

But not being able to drive since May 29 has made course collecting so difficult. Thank goodness my “chauffeur” for the day didn’t mind swinging through Elko on our way up to Minneapolis.

(9 days ago) November 4, 2020. Course Collecting In Northeast Iowa: Tonn's Travels

(1 days ago) In the past few years, I had played literally every course available to play in Northeast Iowa. One of the cool motivators in UDisc is to filter their map of disc golf courses to display only unplayed courses, then seeing hundreds of square miles of empty space! 🙂 That said, the only constant is change, and as soon as a person plays every course available in a particular region?
